Question by Scotty Doesnt Know: Would it creep you out if you found out your vacation condo used to be a senior independent living home?
That DOES explain the lack of a lake view from the condo and the silly wheelchair ramps that are way too steep to be used, but it doesn’t explain why the place was built without any elevators.

You would not creep me out. By the looks of the pics, it looks very relaxing and a place one could enjoy to get away for a while.

Only if I found a pair of used depends or a suppository someplace.
OR
If the place reeked of mothballs.
