Question by paper.planes.: Finding a senior project mentor experienced in fashion marketing?
Basically, the area of interest for my senior project is investigating the process of marketing my clothing and accessories to established stores. I have a little knowledge in fashion marketing in regards to the fact that I have an online venue set up for the sale of my handmade items, but I have never researched the topic at such a high level. My product for my senior project will be the creation and implementation of a business plan for approaching “brick and mortar” shops with my items. I need a mentor who could help me to develop this plan. Most of this work could be done through e-mails, and would not be too strenuous on the part of my mentor, and they would not have to live near me.

I’ve contacted a few colleges in my state that have fashion marketing programs, but none have contacted me back. I cannot think of any other way to find a mentor in this field. Help/ideas please?

Thank you!

We love our carton holder that I had purchased from The Container Store many years ago and decided we needed a second one. No longer available through my original source I searched many places until I found this Milk Carton Holder through Amazon. We like it even better than our original. My husband has arthritis making it very difficult to grasp cartons without the holder. This holder makes it easy to grasp the carton, the handle is comfortable, and it is very lightweight which is a noticable plus over our first model, making it very easy to lift even a full container of milk or juice. Wonderful product.

I looked all over to find this product. I used to get them at The Container Store, but they quit carrying them.

This one is actually better anyway because there is more room for the carton and milk spills along the carton don’t cause the empty carton to stick to the holder like the ones from TCS.

I was looking for something to make it easier for my young children to serve milk on their own and this is great. Very sturdy, white makes it look cleaner in the refrigerator, it prevents leaking in the table and fridge. Get 2, one for milk and one for juice!!! It is not only an aid for persons with arthritis, it helps little hands and looks very nice.

My 80-year old neighbor asked me to buy her a new milk carton holder because she had burned her old one. After looking around I found this one and purchased it for her. A few days after I gave it to her I asked her if it worked all right. She was ecstatic. Her old holder just had a few pieces of thin plastic to support the milk carton. This one is much sturdier and easier for her to use. Because of the arthritis in her hands she has difficulty handling a regular carton, but this helps her to remain independent.

I purchased this for an elderly friend of mine as juice cartons were too heavy for her to hold and pour. She loves this tool and is ordering another one.
